Dig It Projects Answers SOS Call

When we heard that DIY SOS were looking for volunteers to help out a well-deserving local couple, we couldn't not get involved. Richard and the team re-arranged their busy schedule to oversee the garden redesign on the home of June and John Finlay.  In 2009, June contracted a debilitating condition Clippers, which has left her housebound and barely able to talk. June and John's daughter Heather contacted DIY SOS to help redesign their home to make it suitable for her Mum's needs.

Richard said "It's fantastic to be able to help out June and John, we hope that the changes to their home and garden will really help improve their quality of life".

Dig It Projects would like to thank Barnes and Woodhouse and Cherry Hill Garden Centre who supplied some of the materials for the project.

The project and show was filmed from the 15th October 2013 and was scheduled for a 10 day build in which Dig It Projects were on the full time.

The show was aired on BBC 1 this year 12th may 2014 view here http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0446mcv
