RSPB "Saltholme Reserve" - school visits.
RSPB Saltholme
Registered Charity No. 207076 RSPB Saltholme is the international wildlife reserve and discovery park in the industrial heartland of Tees Valley. It is an area rich in wildlife, with an abundance of bird life throughout the year and a rich variety of plants, invertebrates and other wildlife in its many restored and created habitats.
Alongside “DIG IT Projects”, we can offer free 1 hour sessions on feeding birds in the garden and wildlife gardening as well as Saltholme history, migration, adaptation, Saltholme wildlife, sustainability and RSPB international work.
We can bring along advice leaflets and a catalogue for free education resources from the RSPB.
If a topic you are interested in is not listed, please ask – we will try to meet your needs and include other topics if we can.
We also offer site visits for school groups, covering topics such as sustainability, habitats, pond dipping, mini-beasts and birds.
